Welcome

The Buda Fire Department is a combination paid/volunteer fire department that provides fire suppression and EMS service to a 75 square mile area of northeast Hays County, including the cities of Buda and Hays. We are situated 15 miles south of Austin, Texas along the Interstate 35 corridor. Hays County is among the fastest growing counties in the state of Texas. Established in 1956, the department has evovled from a rural volunteer fire department to a full service fire/EMS agency.
